Tying Tip: Don’t over do it on the Ep fiber, you won’t have to use very much to create the look you want.
EP fibers are magical. They move in the water like no other fiber, and they have a baitfish like texture and look in the water. They are also waterproof so they don’t hold water, this makes EP flies very easy to cast. The sparkle on the head creates an attention grabbing spot and looks realistic in the water.
This is a weightless fly, you’ll need to adjust your depth with your fly line selection. Fish this fly where you find the baitfish, if they are schooled up deep you’ll need a heavy line, if they are very shallow off points a floating line may work. Your retrieve should create a wounded baitfish look, short quick strips with long pauses will be the most productive.
