Tying Recipe
  • Hook: Down Eye, 1X Fine, Wide Gape
  • Thread: UTC 70 Denier, White, and Tan
  • Tail: Coq De Leon, Light Speckled
  • Body: Super Hair, Brown and Black
  • Thorax: Superfine Dubbing, Grey
  • Wing: Mcflylon, White
  • Hackle: Dry Fly Hackle, Dark Barred Ginger

This pattern does have a substitution material, but besides that one material you should stick with the recipe as much as possible. This pattern is easy to mess up, so you’ll want to give yourself every advantage possible.

Body: Slinky Fiber in the same colors will make a nice body on this fly as well.

You can combine any two thread colors, and any two super hair colors to make almost endless combinations of this fly. Keeping to natural colors that are specific to the natural bugs you plan to imitate is the best way to go. If you are having trouble seeing the fly on the water you can also change the color of the Mcflylon to your liking. As always, tie in multiple sizes!

The Juju Parachute is a stellar combination of two already incredible patterns, the jujubaetis and the parachute adams. With parents like those, this fly was born for success. The super hair body on this fly that is two strands of the lighter color and one strand of the darker color, gives it great segmentation and a life like profile.

Fishing this fly alone will yield the most results, but you can also put a small emerger or nymph behind it when tied in it’s larger size offerings. This fly loves to be cast onto a seam, a shallower riffle, or in some nervous water close to the bank.
