The Best Anglers Never Stop Learning
Tying Video
This simple little streamer has great movement thanks to the soft hackle body. When this fly is stripped or in the current the soft hackle is stiff enough to keep a body shape for the fly but also flows very well. Use it with a a bead head to get it deeper to the fish’s depth. Because it’s easy to cast you can cast this fly all day.
We love fishing these little streamers when you can’t pinpoint what the fish are keyed in on. This little fly can imitate lots of little bugs or small baitfish. Fish it under an indicator and dead drift it as a nymph. Or cast it like a streamer. Whether you strip it back to you or fish it on a swing through current, this fly can interest picky trout. Use a sink tip line to get this fly to the bottom if you are fishing some deeper water.
